An internal view of a signal box opened in 1913. Probably little had changed except for the detectors on the floorplates. The diagram and lever name plates were typical of those before changes were made by Byles. The interlocking machine was a Type A Contract design manufactured by Thornley & Sons although there was no maker's identification. RT Taaffe
