The Tasman Limited in Winter: view from the cab. Having left Colebrook the train has just crossed Colebrook Road at Salmons Crossing. It is heading along a straight section of track before disappearing into the trees in a small valley where it will round the big 190-degree Coalmine Bend before coming back out to commence a 1:40' climb on the other side. The rails at right angles to the track is a refuge siding for the WG gang motors used by track maintenance crews. (Ross Harris)
