Distance from Sydney : 797.067km
Opened : 6th November 1905
Closed : 25 May 1909 (moved to second site)
Status : Closed
Name meaning : After the property name of Wooroowoolgan (originally) )Aboriginal for bend in the river) - the Dept decided this was too hard to pronounce and changed the name.

2nd site

Type : Station
Line : North Coast Line
Distance from Sydney : 795.176km
Opened : 25th May 1909
Closed : 5th January 1927
Status : Closed
Name meaning : as above
Notes : Boomooderie has one of the most unusual naming histories in the North Coast collection — the original name "Wooroowoolgan" (Aboriginal for "bend in the river") was considered too difficult to pronounce by the Department and replaced with "Boomooderie," itself derived from the property name that had already adopted the Aboriginal word in a modified form. The Working Plan name "Ooroowoolgan" represents yet a third variant. The 1927 closure notice is notable for its dual-reference structure — the Grafton end siding connection (Lever and Bracket Lock A) was retained for 2½ months after the platform was removed (5 January to 21 March 1927) before also being dispensed with. The Loop Siding at Site 2 surviving as a Permanent-Way Branch ballast siding post-closure confirms the location retained operational significance for track maintenance even after passenger and goods services ended. No WN notices found for either the original renaming from Wooroowoolgan, or for the 1909 relocation to Site 2.
