from Australian Railway History 2009, a NSW train is in the shunting neck north of Acacia Ridge.  In the background, is the Boundary Rd overpass, installed around 1982/83, which replaced a level crossing.  After the overpass was installed the Acacia Ridge yard was resignalled, in 1983 with hybrid signaling (QR like signals with position light shunt signals but with marker lights) for the standard gauge section

*Extracted from NSW Government Railways Weekly Notices, 1963–1989.*
*Note: Acacia Ridge evolved from a purely private industrial siding complex (1965) to an Electric Train Staff Station (1980) to a major interstate freight terminal (1986), reflecting the transformation of the NSW–QR interchange point from a passenger-era crossing arrangement to a freight-era industrial hub.*
