>
> Near West Maitland (141m 14c) to **Pembrooke (290m 40c)** — section reference. *(Source: 1930 Weekly Notices)*

> **Note:** The 1930 WN gives Mileage 290m 40c (approximately 467 km) which differs from the 287m 64c (463 km) given in the 1971 WN deletion and from your notes (463.170 km). The 287m 64c / 463 km figure is consistent with the 1971 formal deletion entry and appears to be the correct operational mileage.

Your notes give 1961 as the date of reduction — the WN amendment was published in W.N. 1–1965 (authorisation reference A. 1–64–72,522 dating from 1964), suggesting the physical reduction occurred around 1961–1964 and the formal WN update followed in January 1965.

*Extracted from NSW Government Railways Weekly Notices, 1917–1975.*
*Note: The crossing loop being laid in just 15 days after the station opened (3 December → 18 December 1917) suggests the loop was always intended but the loop-laying works lagged the station opening slightly. The two-stage 1971 goods siding removal (leads removed W.N. 38, frames abolished W.N. 50 — a 12-week gap) is consistent with the standard NSW approach of removing running connections first, then formally abolishing the signalling equipment once the siding was confirmed clear. The platform length discrepancy (your notes give 1961; WN authorisation dates from 1964/W.N. 1–1965) is likely because the physical reduction occurred around 1961–1964 but the formal Local Appendix update was delayed.*
