NT33 had a slightly longer than expected stop at Kempsey today (20/10/2025) due to a bushfire at Collombatti. Not a station I'd normally spend any time at! And now I've been there two days running.....

*Extracted from NSW Government Railways Weekly Notices, 1917–1982.*
*Note: Kempsey is the only North Coast station where construction infrastructure (the six-road roundhouse) was built more than two years before the line opened. The roundhouse foundations survive, confirming the scale of this investment. The school bus collision of 9 December 1968 is the most serious accident documented in the WN collection for this section of the North Coast Line. Circular No. 181 of 1917 served as the Kempsey base diagram from 1917 to at least 1934 — 17 years; superseded by Circular No. 524–54 of 1936.*
