*Extracted from NSW Government Railways Weekly Notices, 1940–1949.*
*Note: Miroma's station brand M.I.A. is unusual — typically three-letter brands are derived from the station name, but "MIR" would be the standard derivation from Miroma. The M.I.A. brand suggests either the station was initially proposed under a different name beginning with M.I.A., or the Department chose a non-standard derivation. The 24-foot (7.3-metre) platform is one of the shortest in the Ballina branch collection, shorter even than The Halt's 9-foot sleeper platform in area terms — though The Halt's platform length was the width of a single sleeper pair. Miroma was the last platform established on the Ballina branch before the wartime suspension, opening just over a year before the branch was put out of use in February 1942.*
