The photo would be between July 1954 when the Byron Bay whaling operation commenced - https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/225814911 - and 1963 when tramcar C37 was relocated to Sydney - https://www.sydneytramwaymuseum.com.au/.../155-Trolley.... Noting that only tramcar C37 is in the above photo (tramcar 74B having been transported to Sydney in late 1957), it is likely the photo is after than date. I suspect the photo is from 4 November 1961 when there was an SPER tour of the Byron Bay tramway.
