If you hover over a link on facebook you seel something like https:/wwww.somesite.com/index.php?fbclidxxxx

This is the facebook click tracking Id and means that facebook will track where you are going if you click a link on their site.

It usually screws up sites that have an explicit link and you may not get where you expect to.

I've set the server here to strip the fbclid parameter when you access this site via facebook - it will prevent facebook from tracking what you are doing here - privacy is important and facebook data mining isn't welcome here.

Facebook, without any prior notice, started adding the fbclid parameter to the URLs. Moreover, there's no official documentation signifying its purpose.
