Notes : The 76.2 metre long platform was on the Up side, originally shorter, the platform was extended in 1926 (WN44/1926). The (then) town of Myrtle Creek was 5k to the east (Rappville was closer at only 3km away). The original post office for Myrtle Creek existed at the station site from 1904 to 1955 after which time it relocated to Myrtle Creek (closing in 1962). 5/4/1906 - gantry crane added. 2/10/1907 - cream shed and trucking yards added. In 1936 the controlling station was Gurranang and in the same year the cattle yard was abolished. Pig yard abolished 1938. On 26th November, 1940, the dead-end at the Casino end of the siding was removed. 17/4/1941 - goods siding closed (at the time of closure it could hold 14 22' trucks, reduced from 19 in 1940 which in turn was a reduction). The crane was removed at the same time. The loop siding was on the Down side. In 1962 the controlling station became Grafton.

---

**Type:** Station / Platform (Closed)
**Line:** North Coast Line (Camira Creek–Rappville section)
**Distance from Sydney:** 773.416 km (Mileage approximately **481m–482m** from Sydney)
**Location:** -29.111206, 152.945197

### Key Administrative Notes

### Siding History
**W.N. 49–1940 (since 26 November 1940):** Dead-end at **Casino end** of siding at Myrtle Creek removed; No. 2B points in the siding replaced by a **catch-point** (C.T.M. 40–51,650; S.&T.E. 40–720,314)

**W.N. 51–1940 (26 November 1940):** Catch-points in the siding at the **northern end** (No. 2B) moved to a new position, **30 feet nearer to Sydney** (S.&T.E. 40)

---

> **Notes:** Myrtle Creek opened 6 November 1905 as one of the original Grafton–Casino stations. Listed as unattended (P) in 1924. Not on the No. 68 North telephone circuit in 1926, confirming its unattended status throughout the 1920s. Myrtle Creek marked the southern boundary of the Casino Signal Sectionmen's district (1930) — an administratively significant boundary point. Siding modifications in November 1940 (dead-end removed; catch-points repositioned 30 feet toward Sydney). Closed April 1970; deleted from Rates Books W.N. 16–1970; deleted from border tables W.N. 29–1974.

*Extracted from NSW Government Railways Weekly Notices, 1905–1975.*
*Note: The OCR of the 1905 original station list reads "Kytle Creek" for what is almost certainly Myrtle Creek — an OCR misreading of the handset type used in the 1905 WN. "Kytle" does not correspond to any known location on the Grafton–Casino line, while the position in the list (between Camira Creek and Deep Creek Platform) is exactly right for Myrtle Creek. Myrtle Creek's administrative significance as the Casino Signal Sectionmen's southern district boundary (1930) reflects its position as the transition point between the South Grafton and Casino maintenance districts — a boundary that persisted through the 1930s–1960s. The two same-day siding notices (W.N. 49 and 51–1940 for 26 November 1940) are unusual — W.N. 49 recorded the removal of the dead-end and replacement by catch-point, while W.N. 51 recorded the repositioning of those same catch-points 30 feet toward Sydney, suggesting both works were done simultaneously but notified in separate administrative instruments.*
