Name meaning : After the location
Notes : Location had a crossing loop (lifted prior to 1968) and a dead end siding that serviced stock loading facilities. The fairly substantial station building was replaced with a simpler waiting shed. Original station had a seperate urinal.

Edith Gatty (nee Bessell) in long skirt and family and friends outside the Mount Nicholas Railway Station. Edith Annie Bessell (21/2148) was appointed Station Caretaker at Mount Nicholas with the Government railways for the period October 21, 1921 until April 7, 1932. She was also the postmistress for many years. Her husband, Hugh Gatty, was a platelayer on the Fingal Line. Her father, George Bessell, was a stationmaster at numerous stations including many years at Fingal. (John Watts)
