Name meaning : An adjacent property was named Fernhill but this was the same as Hurlstone Park's then naming so it was changed to Fernside.
Notes : The Up side platform was 51.2 metres in length, later reduced to 15.24 metres. A 10' x 8' cream shed was on the platform.


Notes:
Platform and cream shed added in 1912. It was used as a loading platform for vegetables and bananas until 1933 when goods loading was relocated to Tuncester for farmers in the area. By 1944 fruit was again being loaded at the station
