Name meaning : Aboriginal word meaning big tree or plant that gives a yellow dye
Notes : A 40.2 metre platform existed on the Down side, later reduced to 17.6 metres. A 299.9 metre crossing loop was at the site and also a goods loop siding. The location closed as an Electric Train Staff and crossing station on 31st July 1973. Connected to Telephone Circuit No. 68 (North). Bungabbee Railway Station unusually still exists as an official place name per the NSW Geographical Names Board having been gazetted on 30-04-1971 - normally closed stations are removed.
