Name meaning : Andover was named by Lieutenant Francis Tabart in 1831 after his arrival in Van Diemen's Land from Andover in England.
Notes : Facilities included a goods shed and stock yards located on a loop siding, a house, waiting shed and a toilet. A dead end siding on the Down side of the loop existed in the 1930s for the Public Works Department but had been removed by the 1950s.
