Name meaning : Named after the nearby creek. Batar derives from the Irish batir meaning to beat repeatedly
Notes : a 20 foot sleeper platform was constructed at the location and (though unattended) it dealt with passengers, goods and parcels.

The larger circle is approx location of Batar Station. According to my mother it was on the Rossglen side of Batar Creek. Apparentely my Great Uncle Victor Everingham used to
load milk cans there The smaller is Rossglen, where the houses are.

The sign from Batar still exists and is attached to a shed on a nearby property.

The Up platforn1 was 6.0m long. No town nearby.
