A true gentleman. I first met Jim and his wife in 1982 when I became track supervisor of the area. He also works as a traffic officer with the coopernook bridge Gang after the station closed.

I worked in a rerailing gang before taking on the track supervisors role. I think Jim's daughters worked on the passenger trains and were always happy to give us a wave when going past. Always entertaining

Had the pleasure of meeting Jim sometime in the 2000's. Great character and heard some great tales of rail experience from him. I know I've posted this image before, but here it is again of some of the traffic officers from Coopernook at a reunion.

This man was a true gentleman he was the protection officer for the earthworks gang on the North Coast, he worked closely with my good mate Trevor Ratcliffe. Sadly they were both taken way to early. They were both great blokes & still missed today.
